Welcome to Woods Charter Student Blog….

Posted on: Saturday, August 30th, 2008 in: Woods Charter

Hey Hey, ok so here’s our school blog created by Yours Truly Mwah…. I guarantee you that teachers, parents and itteee-bitteee woods kids are going to find out about this site. (not that that’s bad) But that being the case, I’m going to save you all from lawsuits, parent teacher conferences and possible expelment… and say:

Don’t Swear/cuss/potty-mouth – For a few Reasons…a. There’s no need for it… I mean really…. 2. Teachers, parents… Ittee-Bitteess… Fellow students Don’t appreciate it.

Don’t talk about choice subjects – Ever heard the phrase don’t put anything on the web you wouldn’t want your Future employer/parent/teacher/friends/siblings/anyone!? to know? Well its quite accurate, plus many of those choice subjects… are again offensive…

Respect everyone. Period.

This is for everyone, its student based but its not private so everyone will be on it….

New Woods Charter School Opens

Posted on: Monday, August 25th, 2008 in: 27312, Development, Education
Yesterday, Woods Charter School celebrated the grand opening of its new 65,000 sqft facility near Briar Chapel. In addition to computer, biology and chemistry labs, the new school includes a gymnasium, a stage for a variety of events, and a soccer field. The new school is already near capacity at more than 485 students, due in part to the fact that the school’s SAT scores rank sixth highest for a public school in North Carolina. Newland Communities (the developers of Briar Chapel) donated the 19 acres for the school.

If you’re interested in learning more about Woods Charter, check out the school’s website, my earlier posts, or the recent article by Chatham Journal.
