Masters Degree Bill in Senate Education on Wednesday
Senate Bill 893 (Salary Schedule Rate Increase/”M” Teachers) is scheduled to be heard by the Senate Committee on Education/Public Instruction. The bill is sponsored by Sen. Vernon Malone (D-Raleigh).
If enacted, teachers with masters degrees will make 12% higher than the salary of those with bachelors degree. Currently, a teacher with a masters degree makes 10% higher.
