Bennett School eighth graders helped fellow students learn about various careers during an annual career day held on Thursday, March 20. For approximately one month, the twenty-four eighth graders worked with computer teacher Charlotte White as they researched aspects of careers and colleges. Phillip Shabazz, a poet and author, worked with seventh and eighth grade language arts students at Silk Hope School during the week of March 17. This is the third year he has worked with Silk Hope students on writing skills and connecting the language arts and social studies areas of the North Carolina Standard Course
